Across four days, Chris Packham, Michaela Strachan and Martin Hughes-Games followed the stories of the UK's wildlife in autumn from an exciting new Scottish location at a critical time for most animals. The series captured all the beauty, drama and spectacle of the season and, for the first time, tracked the action in real time on a network of live cameras, as animals prepare for their toughest time of year.Job Overview:
Autumnwatch needs to react to stories as they happen, and report on the latest wildlife news from across the country. The series is a truly multiplatform, 24 hour event, streaming wildlife action live on the web and on The Red Button.
With this in mind, Hyperactive engineers travelled to the Scottish Highlands and built an an EVS rig integrated with Avid edits. IPDirector media management allowed the production team to build up the wildlife stories as they happened.
This year, Autumnwatch aimed to be more interactive than ever, inspiring everyone to share their
stories, photos and videos, and get outdoors to enjoy the season for themselves.
