Eisteddfod 2013. A heady mixture of music, theatre, culture and art make the Eisteddfod a must-do event in the Welsh Calendar.
It was Denbighshire’s turn to host, what was a memorable and exciting event, the National Eisteddfod in 2013. Think Edinburgh Fringe crossed with Glastonbury (sounds amazing!) and throw in Wales to the equation (even better!). Every year organizers and event planners make a distinct effort to create a different vibe and this year being no different.
Though the theme changes there’s one aspect of the event that never changes: cutting edge activities and the best atmosphere in the world. What’s more special is that Eisteddfod 2013 remains loyal to it’s traditional Welsh heritage which only adds to the spectacle. Special to this year Eisteddfod are celebrating there best poet or writer in the Gorsedd ceremony which was a top priority for any visitor.
Amongst all the events at the very heart of Eisteddfod was the potential to learn about culture and Welsh tradition.
We were there from the 2-10 of August, working our little socks off! Like the majority of our projects we supplied an Avid ISIS 5000 Expansion Chasis and Avid Interplay Media Management System amongst other Avid and EVS equipment and did a fine good job of offering 24/7 maintenance. A great project to work on and an informative one at that.
