Roles are reversed in the contemporary reality show as young entrepreneurs attempt to turn around failing businesses.
Normally when you hire an intern your expected hard work at an average standard. You're also expected to provide numerous hours of teaching to get the intern up to date. However the Million Dollar intern takes this concept and transforms it where the intern is a pivotal part in the company’s success. But these are not ordinary interns, they are business minded entrepreneurs who at a young age have started their own business and made millions. One of the entrepreneurs, Martin became a millionaire at 17. He started of as a nightclub manager (despite being to young to enter a night club) then quickly moved on to real estate where he made his fortune and inevitably made his parents very happy.
Although young in age, Martin carries a wealth of experience, much like many of the other participants of the show who are drafted in to save failing businesses. All together the Million Dollar Intern's role reversal makes for exciting and unexpected television.
This particular assignment was to test our flexibility and efficiency. Thankfully we have an experienced and great team who were able to keep up with the demands of the BBC. The show is an outside broadcast, specifically in various different locations making life that little bit more difficult. But it wasn't a problem for our excellent team who along with top of the line Avid equipment, managed to maintain high quality levels at a rapid speed.
