Gemma Arterton steps out from under the wing of Daniel Craig AKA James Bond and is cast as Tamara Drew, a city high-profiler who returns to her humble beginnings.
Like so many movie productions, this story was inspired by real life events. In this particular case the life of a newspaper columnist. Former bond girl Gemma Arterton plays Tamara Drew the newspaper columnist who returns to her former town to find that it is being prepped for sale. It's clear that things have changed since her younger days in the country estate, but still her love interest from all those years ago is still single and interested. As you can imagine, Tamara Drew, the city high-profiler remains in her small hometown to be with the one boy she had always loved, in the mean time re-connecting with all her family, friends and enemies.
The film premiered at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival in may, and was released nationwide in July 2010.
