The Olivier Awards 2015 took place this week. Hosted by comedian Lenny Henry, the renowned awards ceremony returned to the stunning Royal Opera House for an evening of award giving and celebration. The event showcased the best in stage talent. Actors and performers arrived looking their best to the red carpet event. Kevin Spacey, Angela Lansbury and Mark strong are just a few of the celebrities that attended the legendary event in the hopes of winning awards.
ITV continued as the awards’ television partner, enabling fans to tune in to the very best moments from the ceremony.
Hyperactive Broadcast's newest member to the engineering team James Fishwick was on site at the Olivier Awards. James proved that all though he may be the new guy on the scene here at Hyperactive, he definitely knows his stuff when it comes to broadcast engineering. James installed, monitored and de-rigged the Olivier equipment, which included EVS XT3’S, Edit Suites and an ISIS.
He provided technical support throughout the entirety of the production and made sure that any issues were quickly resolved, meaning that the shows editors and production staff could broadcast the awards ceremony to theatre fanatics across the country.
