If you like Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz (lets face it why wouldn't you) then you'll love this funny yet bizarre science fiction flick.
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost return for what they call the sequel to Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz although none of the films are related at all. But it's the trilogy of the two brilliant British comics working together. If Shaun of the Dead (2004) and Hot Fuzz (2007) were anything to go by The World's End will be a classical British movie, which includes slapstick humour, witty acting and an explosive amount of fireworks and props.
The World's End, directed by Edgar Wright, is based on a typical lads big night out with an alien twist. The film takes something considered normal and throws in an Alien invasion, to make everything more exciting and typically British. Gary King (Simon Pegg) goes on a mission to track down his estranged friends, who have all been more successful then him in one way or another, to complete what's known as the Golden Mile, a specific pub crawl route across 12 pubs in the Newton Haven area. Its dynamic storyline earned it the title of "social science fiction".
